New book publication: "Family - Life - Pandemic. Words and Worlds of Chinese Migrant Women Workers"

The project "Social Worlds: China's Cities as Spaces of Worldmaking", in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Foundation, has translated the writing project of Chinese artist Jing Y., in which Chinese women migrant workers speak out and tell their own stories and memories, into German.

The book can now be downloaded here as a digital version or ordered as a printed version. It contains 11 impressive stories translated by Antonie Angerer, Chang Xiaojie, Mia Hallmanns, Lisa Heinrich, Philipp C. D. Immel, Sara Landa, Michael Malzer, Elena Meyer-Clement, Jonathan Michel, and Petra Müller, an introduction on migration and (im)mobility in China by Ryanne Flock and Elena Meyer-Clement, and comprehensive explanations of the project by artist Jing Y.
