On September 5, 2023, De Gruyter Publishing House published the monograph "Chinese-German Poetry Dialogues. Approaches to Chinese Poetry from Expressionism to the Present [Chinesisch-deutsche Lyrikdialoge. Annäherungen an die chinesische Dichtung vom Expressionismus bis zur Gegenwart]" by Sara Landa.

In the monograph based on her PhD thesis, Sara Landa traces Chinese-German poetry dialogues, from translations in the narrow sense to various free kinds of transformations, from the early 20th century to the present. In particular in times of crisis and change, German poets engaged both with classical and contemporary Chinese poetry in order to create space for aesthetical experimentation, to envision various models of utopia and to reflect on the role of the poet in society and politics. The dialogical constellations are therefore not only intricately connected with polticial constellations and cultural politics, they also always create literary worlds that critically react to challenges and crisis in both realms.
